You know, as a cyclist, I know a lot about this topic. There are two very important laws that apply to cyclists. The first is is that a bicycle has the same rights and responsibilities as a car, as a truck, or as a motorcycle. The other important law is that motorists must give a cyclist three feet when they go by, so they don’t hit the cyclist or force the cyclist off the road. Those are the two most important rules that apply to cyclists in California.
